This value statement touches any person who comes in as a role model to the child in question. It acts as an invitation condition to any person indenting to be a big brother in the organization. From the value statement or code of ethics, a person has to be caring, accountable and positively influential as far as a child’s life is concerned. The website goes on to state that with the help of determined volunteers, the organization can open doors for more children in the specified region, the Bay Area (Imani).

The AARP Foundation is a nonprofit organization that can be access online through www.bbb.org/ website. This website has various value statements and codes of ethics that are based on focusing on ending specified problems in the US. It has a core code of ethics or value statement that states, “Be part of the solution”. In focusing to end various problems such as senior hunger, housing needs for the low income earning people aged 50 years and above among other problems, every individual is encouraged to be part of the solution. Through the value statement, people throughout the US and beyond are encouraged to help in solving problems related with old age (AARP Foundation). There are strategies that can be applied and their implementations could best succeed through this association (Michigan Nonprofit Association). This website and the first two can generate ideas of coming up with an own value statement or code of ethics.

The three websites and or organization use their value statement attractively and in an encouraging manner in which different but valuable perspectives are brought together. In creating an own value statement, one has to bring different ideas together and focus on the first effort in the development of the value statement. The value statement is always the foundation for any code of ethics (Renz).

It is therefore great to consider issues like the values that seem to be unique to the organization in question while observing the values that should be generally upheld by all organization. In finalizing the steps, the values that guide the organization’s operations, personal or staff conduct, conduct of the board and volunteers should be considered. This would guide the creation of a perfect own value statement.
